However, the pricing seems on par with Rolex but appears brand has no resale value (grey market is like 20-40% cheaper than retail). I love Panerai anything pre-2014 or so.. I think around 2014 they lost their way with excessive composite materials, introducing models with snap-back cases and low level of water resistance. To me, the best PAMs are steel with screw back cases. On the secondary market selling a Panerai has proven inexplicably difficult. And if the frequency of wrist-spots are any indication the UN would already label them as threatened by extinction. But why?

I've long felt that Panerai watches were too big too expensive and pretty ugly. Recently, I tried one on and it didn't look horrible on my gigantic wrist.
